ATLAS E.P. participates in a unique event to promote translation and accessibility techniques in Greece.
In collaboration with the Centre for Translation Studies (CenTraS) at University College London, the British Council hosts a two-day workshop on 27–28 March 2026 at their premises in Athens, featuring leading experts from CenTraS.
The workshops will be preceded by a keynote lecture at the Athens Conservatoire on Thursday 26 March 2026. Focusing on translation, new technologies and human rights, the lecture will set the scene for the two-day workshop.
The programme is delivered in partnership with the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting at the Ionian University under the auspices of the British Embassy in Athens . Over the following two days, specialists from CenTraS will give presentations and lead hands-on workshops on topics including audiovisual translation, cloud subtitling and revoicing, crisis translation and contemporary translation technologies, all explored through the lens of media accessibility, inclusivity and human rights.
