The TV series was airing weekly on ERT1 from Sunday to Tuesday and Thursday, at 22:00, and fascinated the audience. Right after, the episodes were available on ERTFLIX.

A few words about the plot (from ERT’s website):
Perseus is the son of a miner who was killed in the tunnels of Serifos' mines and Katerineta, a strong, uncompromising yet sensitive woman, who defied all social expectations and taught her son to walk with his head held high, just as she did.
Perseus, who is still young, is forced to follow in his father’s footsteps in the mine tunnels, working "from sunrise to sunset", from dawn till dusk, to survive on his barren island. The hard work and the dangers he faces daily cannot prevent the love that blossoms between him and Andromeda, the daughter of his enemy, nor stop them from dreaming of a better tomorrow with humane working conditions…
ACCESSIBILITY IDENTITY
ATLAS E.P.’s SDH follow the rules of the Greek Subtitling Guide for Equal Access. Therefore, each character has its own colour, which they retain as long as it is allowed by their interactions with other characters of the same colour. When this happens, their second colour is used. In addition, the soundscape of the series is represented by using the # symbol to introduce new music and (brackets) in order to describe how the music is further built as well as important sounds.
Characters’ key (the colour squares inform about the main colour every character has on the subtitles):

Katerineta (Dani Giannakopoulou) – white
Born in Serifos to parents who were regarded as "outsiders", she grows up bearing the stigma of being different, amidst poverty and tension. Katerineta falls in love with Perseus Konomos, the son of a wealthy family. Despite his father’s opposition, he elopes with her and marries her. They live a hard life. Perseus works in the mines, and on the day of the birth of their son, while working, a mine tunnel collapses and kills him. Alone as she is now, she raises little Perseus with dignity and determination. She never forgets the injustice that took her husband’s life, and when the time comes, she stands by her son’s side, demanding justice for the workers. Over the years, her feelings for Manolis, her husband’s brother, develop into a mutual but forbidden love.
Manolis (Kimon Kouris) - cyan
Manolis, the youngest son of the family and a year younger than Perseus, is similar to him in character and admires him deeply. Benevolent, fair-minded and courageous, he is not interested in his father’s money nor does he blindly obey him. He is the only one who openly supports Perseus in his marriage to Katerineta, and for this reason he falls out with the family. Following his brother’s death, he stands by Katerineta and her child, hosting them in the small house his godfather left him in the southern central part of Serifos. Through their daily life together, a deep, mutual yet forbidden love blossoms, which remains hidden and unfulfilled for years.

Drakoulis (Alekos Syssovitis) - cyan
The island’s "little boss", the right-hand man of the mine owner, Emil Grohmann. He started out as an interpreter when Grohmann took over Serifos' Mines from Lavrio, but he quickly saw an opportunity to move up. He became the man who would do anything to serve his employer – flatter, slander, pressure and exploit – in the hope that one day he would be rewarded with power and a share in the business. However, recognition never comes. Blinded by ambition, he is indifferent even to his daughter’s feelings, in order to secure a marriage of convenience with Georg. His only weakness is his love for Leni, yet even this is entangled with calculations and her dowry.

Perseus (Konstantinos Elmatzioglou) - yellow
The story’s hero. From childhood, he has fought for both his own survival and that of his mother, Katerineta, growing up in poverty but with pride and dignity. His beauty and integrity arouse jealousy around him, yet this does not diminish his purity and strength. A restless spirit, he dreams of leaving Serifos to see other places in the world, but stays by his mother’s side, faithful to his duty. He falls in love with Andromeda but is heartbroken when she marries his rival. Life tests him severely: he ends up imprisoned for his struggle, but he does not break.
Andromeda (Alexandra Kolaiti) - white
Beautiful and kind-hearted, she is nothing like her arrogant father. Raised with love by her aunt, Taxiarchoula, the only true mother figure next to her, she is taught what respect and dignity are. She meets Perseus at school and a teenage romance blossoms between them, maturing gradually as they do. She is not concerned about his financial situation but loves him for his character and his integrity. When her father realises they are in a relationship, he intervenes authoritatively, attempting to dictate her life according to his own ambitions, pushing her towards Georg Grohmann.

Taxiarchoula (Eleana Kafkala) - green
Taxiarchoula has carried the wisdom of forgiveness with her since she was a child. She was treated unfairly by her father and sister regarding the family inheritance, yet she held no grudge. She moved on, knowing she would be alone. She does not consider herself beautiful or desirable, but she possesses a deep capacity for love and generosity. When her sister dies in childbirth, she assumes the role of a true mother to little Andromeda and devotes her life to her. Her life changes in Mega Livadi on Serifos when she meets Themistoklis, a labourer from Mykonos, and experiences love for the first time. However, Drakoulis arranges for her to marry the supervisor in the mines, Antonis.

Gavrilis (Michalis Aerakis) - yellow
Gavrilis runs the traditional Greek coffeehouse in Mega Livadi, which is a place for people to meet, have fun, sing and drink, but it also becomes the spot where the angry workers gather to discuss their situation and form a trade union. He is a good man, one of the few on the island who does not hold Katerineta’s foreign origins against her and shows her kindness. His family’s peace will be shattered when a secret is revealed about the affair between his wife, Eirini, and Zannis Konomos, which resulted in the birth of Giannis.

Gerakaris (Leonidas Kalfagiannis) - green
The island’s gendarme, of Peloponnesian origin and with a shadowy past, comes across as unlikable and unjustifiably violent from the outset. He shows off his power, abuses the women he finds attractive, and is a friend and accomplice to Drakoulis in his scams, showing no respect for anyone. Deep down, he seems to be punishing himself, as he has never forgiven him for his past. However, when he falls genuinely in love, he discovers that there is still kindness and compassion inside him. The loss of his beloved drives him to turn against Drakoulis, the mastermind behind it all, and become his punisher.

Giannis (Stavros Svigos) - yellow
Giannis grows up next to Perseus and is the same age as him. At first, he admires him, but his jealousy arises when he sees that Perseus has or acquires everything he desires: first because of his wealthy family, and later because Katerineta loves Perseus and not him. This jealousy turns into hatred, which he never openly expresses. He plays a part in Perseus’ death, a fact that weighs heavily on him, and the situation becomes unbearable when, years later, he discovers that he is the illegitimate son of Patriarch Zannis Konomou and Irini, whom he had believed to be his aunt. In other words, he is Perseus’ half-brother.
