The Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace and the Municipality of Komotini with the support of the Association for children and adults with PDD, autism and Asperger "ΔΑΔΑΑ" of the Prefecture of Rodopi, the Association for People with Mobility Problems and Friends "Perpato" of the Prefecture of Rodopi and the Association for the Care of People with Intellectual Disability of the Prefecture of Rodopi "Agioi Theodoroi" under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture hold an event on the topic of "Accessibility Initiative" on Monday, the 11th of December at 17:00 in the Regional Council hall "G. Pavlidis" (former Prefecture Building, Komotini).
“The aim of the event is for all sectors of activity within the city to ‘embrace’ universal access and for inclusion to become the cornerstone of any development initiative. The main objectives are to showcase universal access as a main feature of modern cities, to exchange good practices and to present new research projects that contribute to the elimination of isolation through the use of new technologies, and to raise public awareness”.
