Thessaloniki Animation Festival accessible by ATLAS E.P.
Morning screening with SDH Subtitles for the equal access of all and a Masterclass in “Accessibility and the cinema: Giving access to the audience and the creators” on Thursday October 15th.
ATLAS E.P. is happy to announce its collaboration with Thessaloniki Animation Festival! TAF - Thessaloniki Animation Festival was organised by ADDART for the first time in 2015. It is the only festival of its kind in Northern Greece and approaches animation as an artistic form and a means as well to promote a plethora of social messages dealing with the modern way of living and reality.
This year, get ready for a highly enjoyable programme, with special events, game presentations, international and national animation contests, special tributes, workshops, speeches, masterclasses and many, many more! But the most important of all, the Festival’s introduction to the world of Accessibility!
Specifically, on Thursday October 15th 2026 at Warehouse D at the morning screening for the schools in Thessaloniki, the animation films will be presented with SDH Subtitles specially written for children based on the official guidelines. Schools of Thessaloniki have been invited to the screening and we’ll be there too, with our subtitles and our interpreters!
Overriding concern of ATLAS E.P. and our colleagues is the active participation of all in creation as well. That’s why, on Thursday from 18:00 until 19:30 at Warehouse D, ATLAS E.P.’s CEO, Emmanouela Patiniotaki, will be delivering a masterclass titled “Accessibility & the cinema: Giving Access to the audience and the creators” with Greek Sign Language Interpreting. The entrance is free!
