ATLAS Accessibility Suite - International presentation at TIERA
Following the needs of professionals and of our audience, ATLAS E.P. proceeded in designing and implementing an accessible app suite, part of which will be presented in its original form at the International TIERA Conference - “Translating and Interpreting in the Era of Algorithms”, organised by the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting at Ionian University. The conference will take place on 9-11 October 2026 in Corfu and the ATLAS Accessibility Suite will be presented on Saturday morning as part of the speeches on Accessibility.
A few words about the Conference
As translation and interpreting practices are reshaped by the accelerating advances of artificial intelligence, neural networks, and automation, new questions arise: What remains distinctly human in the act of translation? How can creativity and critical reflection coexist with algorithmic efficiency?

On Saturday October 10th 2026, as part of the international conference “Translating and Interpreting in the Era of Algorithms (TIERA)” organised by the Ionian University, Emmanouela Patiniotaki (ATLAS E.P.) will introduce ATLAS Accessibility Suite for the first time in a special presentation with live testing and different scenario cases.

Emmanouela Patiniotaki is the CEO of ATLAS E.P. and Managing Director of PROSVASIS - Universal Access Research and Innovation Lab, with extensive experience in audiovisual translation, accessibility and the development of innovative solutions for universal accessibility.
From the first beta testing… to the presentation of ATLAS Accessibility Suite!
Following ATLAS Conference’s first presentation and ATLAS Conference component’s beta testing as part of DEAFestival, ATLAS E.P. continues its course and introduces the next step of its innovative technological development.
ATLAS Accessibility Suite constitutes an integrated solution to accessibility services, designed on the basis of the true needs of professionals in the field. The platform combines, in a single environment, accessibility services tools for live events and pre-recorded or audiovisual content, such as Surtitling, Cinema Subtitling, Speech-to-text Interpreting and Audio Description.
During the speech, the first beta version of ATLAS Accessibility Suite will be presented, as well as the logic behind its design, the first drawn conclusions and the feedback that we collected from its application under real conditions. At the same time, the next steps until the platform’s launch will be presented.
This presentation comes as a follow-up of the platform’s first live testing at DEAFestival, marking once again an important step on the development of technological solutions that can contribute to the organising of more accessible, inclusive and universally designed events and production of audiovisual content.
